I hired Masab to scrape product data, expecting a basic script that would output a JSON file and call it done. What I got instead was a full production-grade FastAPI backend service with SQLite persistence, REST endpoints, and APScheduler-driven automatic re-scraping every 6 hours. the real surprise was the API layer on top: endpoints for searching, sorting, filtering, and exporting products, plus a /status route that tracks run history and the next scheduled scrape. There is even a background mode for triggering manual scrapes without blocking the request. Masab clearly thought about the practical side of running this long-term
